Experience Description

My cousins and I were in a hay barn in the attic. We were running around in circles when I fell 15 feet through a hole. I landed flat on my back and onto the concrete floor. My cousins said it all happened in a matter of seconds, but to me, it felt like a half hour. I recall floating above myself right after I landed. I could see myself lying there. Then, it was SUPER bright with clouds. Then, it got dark and I woke up.

I could stand up perfectly but it felt like I weighed a million pounds. I could barely walk.

I vividly remember seeing myself from up above my body. It was peaceful, no sound, and filled with blindingly, bright light. Thank you.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Less consciousness and alertness than normal

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When I was floating above my body and rising. I could vividly see myself lying there.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. It all happened in seconds

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes It was a blinding light

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. It was super bright and a sky-like environment above the clouds. It was so bright, it’s hard to say if it was an unearthly world.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Peacefulness, weightless

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Relief or calmness

Did you have a feeling of joy? No

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes It all happened so fast. I can’t remember if the entire experience lasted hours in perceived time, or if it was seconds. It happened so fast

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I do not know how my remembrance of the experience compares to my remembrance of other life events.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was probably real. Because I perceived it was real. I experienced it, and I saw what I saw. There’s no way to back it up
