Experience Description

I was sitting on the floor in my room because of an incident that made me very upset and sad. After a while, I got up too fast heading toward the exit door. Suddenly, everything went dark and I lost my balance. I was able to grab both sides of the exit door with my hands to prevent myself from falling on the floor. Next, I saw myself and my entire room with all the details as if I was someone else and I stood in front of myself.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Life-threatening event, but not clinical death. I got up too fast, my eyes blurred, and I fell on the ground again.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness. I did not feel any difference in my consciousness during this event

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I was fully conscious from the beginning to the end

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. I don't know, but I felt that time had stopped! Of course, I doubt it because my body was completely motionless and there was no television or radio on to know if there was time or not.
