Experience Description:

I had a diabetic coma at work about ten years ago. I have been a diabetic since I was thirteen. I remember talking to people in a room. I felt relaxed at peace. Of the conversation and the people, this sounds strange. I remember nothing that I can describe. The room appeared surreal brighter than normal. It was a different place and so real. I remember confusion and movement. I was yelling, 'Don't send me back! I don't want to go back!' I awoke in the casualty department of the hospital with my workmate holding me down. As far as I know the coma was not life threatening. What happened during that time seemed more real than what happened after recovery.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal Everything seemed fresh and effortless. I was free, the world of pain had disappeared, and I was more focused.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster than usual During the return.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Neither

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. The events were vivid. As I came back, it was as if a layer of detail was peeled away. The room was square, faces I can't remember.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Absolute peace and calm. When I returned I was almost in a panic.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real No change.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? No

Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience? All the questions pertaining to NDE will be explained by science. I was watching a show on NDEs. A doctor stated that the soul resides in nano-structures inside cells almost at the quantum level. I read an article about Zero Point Energy in which the writer describes the quantum foam in very similar terms. This would tend to indicate that the Soul and the Universe are made of the same stuff (forgive simplification).
