Experience Description

In June of 2001, I had been working at Dunkin Donuts as the manager. I had not felt right for a few days. On the fourth or fifth day of feeling sick, I had come downstairs and somehow lost consciousness on the kitchen floor.

It was around 8:30 am or so when I was found by my grandmother. She got me up off the floor, and I can remember her getting me into the emergency room. They rushed me in to a room. I can recall an IV bag. They were squeezing the fluid into my vein. I felt drops of the water hitting my face. The last thing I remember is that I could hear them talking and then I heard nothing. My organs shut down because I was very septic. From what my grandmother said, they had to use the paddles to bring me back to life. I was in the emergency room from around 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, until I was stable enough to be moved to the intensive care unit where I spent 4 days. After that, I spent 3 days on the recovery floor.

During the time I was in the emergency room, I was taken into the universe. I was literally in space. There were thousands of energies with me and we were all watching the earth turn itself inside out. It looked like a black hole does, but was red like flowing lava. There was one larger energy with us, I can not say this was God, as I didn't ask the energy's name. But as I witnessed the earth, I looked around and asked, 'Where is my family?' The large energy said, 'Who is here is who is meant to be here.' The fear and panic I was feeling immediately went away and I felt very calm. Then I asked, 'Why is this happening?' Again, the larger energy replied, 'This is what has to be done.'

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function) I had septic shock and blood poisoning.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Both pleasant AND distressing

The experience included: Out of body experience

Did you feel separated from your body? No I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness I felt it was the same as I had before the experience. I had the same thoughts as I do now.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? During the entire thing, I was very aware of the sounds and what I was seeing.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning Time is nothing … it lost all meaning.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Uncertain There were thousands of energies, they were beings but like me; an energy not a being with a body.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Scared, fear, extreme calm and peace, in awe of what I was seeing.

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did scenes from your past come back to you? No

Did scenes from the future come to you? Scenes from the world's future I watched the earth cleanse its self from all that lived here. It turned itself inside out and flowed like lava around itself. Like what a black hole looks like on paper, but continuously flowing.

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes I have more faith.

The experience included: Presence of unearthly beings

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin The larger energy spoke in a man's voice, and as I was looking for my family and asked the energy where they were, he said that who is here is meant to be here. Then when I asked why the earth was turning itself inside out, he said that this is what needs to be done.

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Uncertain that the earth is going to go through a rebirth.

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Yes It just strengthened my belief that we come from the stars.

Did you believe in the existence of God prior to your experience? God probably exists

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Yes The larger energy seems to be God-like. I'm not 100 percent sure, if that was he, but I almost feel as though it was a god or a higher being. God definitely exists.
