Experience Description

Two days before I died, I was lying on sofa. I said to my wife. 'I can see someone walking about in the corner of my eye in the dark hallway.' My wife responds that, 'You must be walking the dogs too much.

On December 25th, I told my wife she could cook Thai food because I was too tired and lazy to cook an English Christmas dinner. She did so and we both sat down to eat. After about 3 minutes, I told my wife that I felt tired, no pains in my body. I got up and walked to the front of my shop and then to the road. I looked around. Again, I said that I just feel tired; but not overly tired though. So, I walked back and said, 'Let's eat some more.' As I was coming to sit down, I watched with my eyes as my head dropped.

When I was other side, my thoughts were different. I was just my thoughts. It sounds terrible but I didn't think about family as I was confused where I was. I have CCTV on in my shop. I can't see me collapse but I can see customers gathering around as the doctor comes to me. Then I'm being put in back of pick up. I see on my eyes blinking on CCTV, but I wasn't in my body. Then I came back in my body. 2 or 3 km down the road, when my spirit left my body, my big boy guarddog was running around so confused. I believe he knows my spirit has left my body. He and I are so close.

Then, I was in a different place. I was in the void. I thought, 'OK, I'm moving my eyes left and right now. Why can't I move?' I suppose it was like being trapped in a vise. It was pure darkness with a very slight, tinge of grey. I still can't see anything and I'm still trying to move. In the distance, there is a little, white speck or spot. It is coming towards me at great speed and getting bigger and bigger. It wasn't pure, brilliant white but it was still white. As the light got nearer me, I hear, 'Doom, doom, doom' getting progressively louder and louder. It was so loud when it reached me.

Then, bang, thump! I was thrown in my body. I was lucky that there was a doctor passing by me. He saved my life, pumping my heart and then bought food out of my throat. I had urinated myself and my heart and breathing stopped. I was in the bed of a pick-up truck, that was speeding me to hospital with the doctor, my wife, and some people from my village. Chasing behind, was an ambulance with flashing lights.

When I was thrown back in by body, all my muscles hurt. I got to hospital and hooked up to a heart monitor. The doctor wanted to keep me in the hospital, but since I have to pay for health care and I'm alive, I refused to stay. I wanted to go to my bedroom with air-conditioning.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes they say I was choking. I hadn't died before there. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function) but know too, I just said I'm tired head went down, I didn't hear anything else. Apparently wife was screaming. I didn't hear her as I left my body

Did you feel separated from your body? No I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. It was like my higher self was speaking

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Slight changes in my life. I was sitting in KFC as I told my wife I want to eat, when sitting in shopping center. Seeing everyone walking past, I turned around to my wife and said, 'It's great to be alive!' Never felt that before

When I have trouble sleeping, I go back and think when I was not in my body and then I fall asleep easy

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes what others say everyone says in news. But never happened to me until it did. I was told I was in the void which I never off heard of void before

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. I could see clearly and the pain coming back in my body
