Experience Description

I was in a very peaceful place. There were no lights; No vision other than maybe a darkness, but no lights or color. I was in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. He was speaking to me. It was an automatic knowing, and I cannot describe the sound of His voice, but it was His voice. It was Him who was with me. It was the most peaceful, serene place. There was no pain or suffering. I had suffered complete bed rest the previous five months due to pre-eclampsia and to keep from losing my babies. I also suffered severe problems due to pregnancy and had 24/7 full-body itching that was unbearable. One of the babies was lying on my spleen, causing the pruritis, somehow. With this said, the pain-free peaceful place I was at with Our Lord, is indescribable.

Jesus asked me if I wanted to go home or stay.

I was in His arms, feeling a peace that truly surpasses all understanding. I replied, 'Not my will, Lord, but Yours. I want to see my babies and Amanda (my oldest daughter) needs me.' I was immediately brought back to life. I felt suffering and pain as if every bone in my body was broken. I had life-saving tubes and other medical devices in my body. I then wanted to go back with our Lord. I did survive, and I did eventually get to meet and hold my beautiful baby girls.

Twenty-eight years have passed by quickly, but I hold onto that time I spent in the Lord's presence because I know that Heaven is real and it awaits me. Although, I didn't get to see the lights of Heaven or any loved ones who had gone before me but just being in His realm of peace and perfection was enough for me know I will never fear death and look forward for when it is truly my time to be called home.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Surgery-related Childbirth CPR given Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function) I had eclampsia. I had to have an emergency cesarean for birth of fraternal twin girls. I bled out. I had to go back to surgery for the physician to find where I was bleeding and to stop it. I was given blood transfusions to save my life until bleeding was stopped. An older sister who is a retired RN, now, gave me CPR until the hospital personnel took over and rushed back to operating room.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal Very aware. Automatic knowing of the Savior speaking. Automatic knowing of no pain, all peace, nothing negative. All negative thoughts and feelings weren't present, at all. True serenity and peace.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When replying to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual The time with Christ was so fast, like in an instant.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I was aware of a place which I can't describe. No lights, sounds, or color. Very aware of the peace, no pain, pure serenity.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. It was an automatic knowing sound of the Lord's voice without sound, though. Indescribable.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? My emotions....being aware of no pain, no suffering, full peace of mind and body.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life Immediately returned to my earthly awareness after I answered the Lord's automatic knowing question if I wanted to go to Heaven or stay on earth.

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes Waiting until the day I am with the Lord forever and ever and to go into Heaven and all its glory.

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience Jesus Christ is truly real and Heaven is real.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? No Verified my beliefs before the experience.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin Knowing Jesus Christ was with me and speaking to me.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? Yes The ONE TRUE LORD, Jesus Christ, was with me. HIM alone was with me. HIS comforting presence was very much so with me.

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Yes That Jesus Christ is real and was with me and gave me the choice to join Him in Heaven or to return to the earthly realm and into my earthly body.

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Yes Jesus is real and He was with me. Only Him. He had the soul power to grant my request to see my babies and to live for them and their sister.

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes That Jesus Christ is real.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? Yes Verification that Jesus is real and Heaven is real, although it awaited me at my request.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Moderate changes in my life More challenging in respect to those who don't believe in God and their ignorance of not knowing the truths about Heaven and Christ being the only way to God.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? I am compassionate with people, but I don't worship people. I don't get so close to them that I can't live without them, especially those I know who are saved Christians. I feel as if this is just a temporary place and that my forever home awaits. I put God and Christ above all other living beings and I live to die. Jesus is my everything and all others come second. Yes

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I don't know how to describe the automatic knowing that Christ was with me and His voice speaking with me. I can't describe the sound of His voice or His words.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience The experience stays with me all the time. I look forward to when my time on earth ends because I know it will be a place of peace, joy, pain free, and rest.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? No Share the gospel of Christ and if a person is blinded and unaccepting, then realize as Heaven is real, Hell is real, also, and will be filled with unbelievers.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? The Lord giving me the choice to live in my earthly body or to go to Heaven.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Soon after. Within a month. They just listened. I hope it gave them hope and verification that Jesus and God exist. That the Trinity of God exists and is true.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real It just verified my beliefs and faith I had already possessed since a very young child and throughout my adult life previous to the experience.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real It was reality. It was real.
