Experience Description After leaving my school bus and walking toward my home, I fell over on my lawn. Suddenly, I found myself looking down onto my body. I thought, 'Must be my diabetes, I must be going low.' I felt a purpose to life and understood that I cannot 'float' upwards anymore. I should head back down and go back into my body. I felt sadness about my state of being, as I was lying on the face of the earth. Since then I have felt a powerful calling in my life: don't ask me what that calling is I have yet to find out! Yes Illness, trauma or other condition not considered life threatening. Diabetic Issues. How do you consider the content of your experience? Neither pleasant NOR distressing Did you feel separated from your body? Uncertain I was young. This happened so long ago, that I am probably forgetting some of the experience. I clearly left my body and existed outside it How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. I felt everything around me, as if I knew a pool was 70 degrees farenheit as opposed to swimming in a 70 degree pool. At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When I was at the highest point above my body. Were your thoughts speeded up? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I believed we went to heaven but I never thought we could exist outside our bodies and still be in this universe. Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Unknown I was so young when this happened, I don't think this event changed my views much. Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience?
