Experience Description I was late for school. My mom was driving and I was in the passenger seat. I looked out the window and saw a red truck speeding towards us. I turned to yell a warning at my mom as we were hit. The truck rolled five times across the highway. I remember walking up to my mom. I was yelling and begging to stay with her. When I tried to open my eyes, I couldn't see anything due to a severe head wound and the blood going over my eyes. Everything went black. I was in an ambulance with them starting my heart with the paddles. Everything went black again. Everything was a blissful peaceful feeling and I was looking down at myself be operated on. My grandma and great grandma were there with me. They didn't say anything but just smiled at me. I felt like I was sucked back into my body again. Then I woke back up in a white room as I heard a machine alarm sounding off. I had been in a coma for 3 days and had a breathing tube in my throat. My whole body hurt; my head throbbed and I couldn't move. Doctors and nurses came in to calm me down. I was in a panic. I didn't know where I was or what happened. I was scared. They explained everything to me and attempted to pull the breathing tube out. When they almost had the tube pulled out my body stopped breathing and wouldn't start breathing on its own. I was once again looking at my body from the side of the hospital bed and watching the medical staff put the tube back in. I was completely at peace with myself and everything I had done with my life. My grandmothers were there again and I felt the need to go with them. Almost as if they were there to guide me into my next life, but I still felt a pull to my physical body. I looked back at my physical body But, when I looked back at my grandmothers, they were gone. It felt like my eyes were closing and I was filled with a peaceful, numbing blissfulness. I was so at peace I didn't know or care what was happening to me. I just knew it felt like a blissful escape. I went back into a coma and woke up 4 days later, after I started breathing on my own again. I was in a regular hospital room. When I woke up, my grandma was at the end of my bed and nodded at me before vanishing. It was as if she told me I made the right choice by staying. Sometimes I still wish I had gone with her. Now, I know she showed up because I don't believe I was meant to go with them. I think they were there to stop me from going and to help me to stay and choose life.
