Experience Description I was struck by a yellow pick up truck. When I was age 3, my family and I lived on a very small block in a poor area of town. I was very insistent. My mom finally let me outside after my Dad convinced her that he would keep watch of me outside while he was fixing his own truck. She was busy feeding my older brother and younger sister. I was playing outside on my training bicycle. I was minding my own business when the neighbors' teenagers a couple doors down were playing ball. I fell off my bike and got back up to see a ball next to me. I don't remember if the ball was mine, but I was told it was by my parents. As a 3 year old, I thought they were inviting me to play with them. The teenagers had a ball and a jump rope. I kicked the ball back to them. They wanted to get rid of me by throwing my ball across the street. Then I saw a thread of rope. I pick it up and start playing with it. They took the rope from me and threw it to the curb of the street. Since the rope was in the street, I knew I had to be careful retrieving it. But, I was focused on the rope and my dad was not really watching me. Suddenly, I saw a yellow pick-up truck coming towards me at full speed. It knocked me into the middle of the street. I went unconscious. I vividly remember my spirit leaving my body. I didn't look down to see what happened. As I was floated towards the sky, I felt much lighter. I felt a feeling of pleasure and bliss so awesome, I can't describe it. As I move upwards, towards the sky, I saw a giant orb of light. It looked like, and I still believe, it was the Sun. But it was up close, like I'd never seen before. I saw Mother Mary. She was still with her hands clasped as if she was praying, or even cradling a baby that I couldn't see. It's as if time froze for a brief moment as my spirit felt close to her. All of a sudden she looked up. She opens her arms to me as if she's ready to take me in. And that was it, the most vivid experience of my life.
