I had an anaphylactic reaction to a medication in the hospital. I had no pulse. I remember being above my bed and watching everything from above. I heard everything the doctors and nurses said but I could not respond. In the corner of the room above the bed was a good friend who had died the year before. There was a bright light behind her. Then she hugged me and told me to go back down. After getting epinephrine, my heart restarted and I was no longer looking down from above. Although I was scared I was not going to live, seeing my friend made me feel more secure. Afterwards I told the doctors the dosages of medication they gave me, where everyone was standing in the room, and even what they were wearing. The doctor said that is impossible you had no pulse. I told him the story about how I could see and hear everything and I was above them all in the room. He thought it was fascinating.
