I have had five flat-lines, and about fifty respiratory arrests. So there are many different experiences.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Asthma Other Both clinical death and life threatening event.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Mixed

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal There were no questions to ask. It was totally devoid of that 'unknown' feeling apart from finding no anchor points scary.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? Just before returning.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening all at once Time changed literally.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more so

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes A figure of light on one occasion came some way towards me and told me to go back.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes Light that glowed everywhere.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? Clearly mystical or unearthly realm MAny diferrent ones. To many to describe but never a revisit to any one place. All distinct

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Intensely relieved.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? United, one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe

Did scenes from your past come back to you? Past flashed before me, out of my control On one occasion. Yes I learned that we can by absence of thought change more than we are aware of.

Did scenes from the future come to you? From the world's future Many times. It was like re-running the real.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? A conscious decision to 'return' to life
