Experience Description

On Sunday January 10, 2021 I had a major heart attack at 10:30 at night. I was taken to the hospital and laid on a table. Doctors put monitor stickers and defibrillator stickers on my chest and back. Suddenly I got very tired and with all my might I was unable to keep my eyelids open. My eyelids closed like I was going to sleep a very heavy sleep.

As soon as my eyelids closed I remember standing there looking at my bare feet. I was standing on a set of gold steps there was about four or five gold steps 30 ft in length and about three and a half foot wide with railings on either end. They let down into a garden. At this time, I remember thinking to myself that my chest didn't hurt anymore and that I felt really good. It was kind of like a perfect nothingness.

I remember looking up and I saw a crescent-shaped line of huge trees that were about 200 yards away. The bark of the trees was white. The leaves were pink and there was gold lace coming out of the top of the trees hanging down with gold stars in the lace. I looked up at the sky and the sky was pink I wanted to see things that were familiar so I was looking for birds in the sky. There were no birds.

I looked down at the Garden to see grass. Again, trying to see things that were familiar. There was no grass but what I did see was The Gold Lace. The pink leaves the trimmings from the tree and a substance that look like steel wool and there was light coming up through the ground. At that time, I wondered to myself having bare feet that this stuff that look like steel wool could not be scratchy. I knew it couldn't be because I was going to go down the steps and walk in this Garden.

I remember turning to my left not being able to look behind me but turning to my left as far as I could and remembering my life and all of my friends and things in my life my successes, my failures. Not one thing that happened to me in my life mattered at this point because I wasn't there anymore, I was here on the steps ready to walk down into this Garden. I thought about the people that I h a d known and love and at this point I knew that they were would have to go through their life and have their own trials in their life. Someday they would end up here where I was. I turned again and looked down into the garden feeling that I wanted to walk down into it.

At that point I awoke with a doctor shaking my shoulder asking me if I was okay and telling me that my heart had stopped.

Several months later I went to a doctor's appointment and ask him what happened during this time and how long my heart has stopped. He told me that my heart had stopped for an entire minute.

A few days later as I was sitting at home I use the stopwatch on my phone and thought about all the details of my dear death experience. As I stopped the stopwatch the time it took was one minute and one second.

Since the day that happened to me, I tell my story every day to multiple people. Most people say that it gives them hope. For this experience I believe I am truly blessed. And I also believe that if I was not a born-again Christian I would have not experienced this.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. When I looked at something and wanted to see it it was like it came toward me so I can see it more clearly and with more detail.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I didn't hear anything.

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? No

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? No

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes The sky was pink and I saw Mike coming up through the ground. The ground at this point in the garden that I saw seem to resemble steel wool and there was light coming up through it.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm I was standing on gold steps ready to walk down at your garden and hedged about with huge trees that have white bark and pink leaves and gold lace coming out of the trees with gold stars in the legs and the sky was pink.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt a sense of wonder. I had no pain. And I was curious about my surroundings.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Relief or calmness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? No

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? No

Did scenes from your past come back to you? I remembered many past events I quickly Remembrance Day all the events in my life good and bad. Not one thing in my life matters at that point. Because I wasn't there anymore.

Did scenes from the future come to you? No

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will I think I waited too long to walk down the steps. Next time I will run with joy down those steps.

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes I have become highly aware and I believe I gained knowledge in my experience. And I can spot BS from a mile away now.

What is your religion now? Christian- Other Christian

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience I know that God loves me. He made gold steps that was 30 feet long and three and a half feet wide just for me to walk on and a beautiful garden with huge trees that had gold lace coming out of them just for me and for my joy.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes My faith in Christ is solidified.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? The whole thing was significant and meaningful.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I shared my experience immediately with the doctors in the room everyone did I meet in my life. Beginning from the moment I regained consciousness. I share my story every day with as many people as I can. A lot of people say it gives them hope.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I was there and there is no question about it.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real I share my story even unto this day.
