Experience Description

They admitted me to the hospital. Then they put me in a room and administered an IV.

I kept protesting because I was freezing and wanted a blanket. Nurses would respond. Finally, I got annoyed about it and one nurse said you're not getting a blanket, your temp around 104.4, one point higher and we're dumping you in ice water. So, I stopped asking for a blanket and just shivered.

While I was out, everything was still dark. Then, the light got closer and closer. It was a curved tunnel. When the tunnel got completely in front of me, it was as if I was being engulfed in it. I heard a voice say, 'No, it's not your time; it's just not your time yet.' The voice was extremely familiar, but I could't figure out who it could be. Since my father died when I was 2 years old, I thought it might be him.

I was in the hospital for a week. They tested me over and over for multiple things. My lungs were perfectly clear, yet the skin that sits outside the lung was pouring blood into my chest cavity. They had no idea what caused my illness or anything about it.
