Experience Description I had my experience at the age of 9, one week before turning 10 years old. I was born with physical conditions. So, I was having reconstruction surgery of the aorta. I remember them rolling me into surgery. I was scared, but was deflecting by using humor to deal with the scary situation. I was telling the doctors a joke as they were rolling me down the hall to the surgical room. They said they had to put the surgery off for a few minutes until they could stop laughing. Then, I began to fall asleep under the anesthesia. I saw a Being beside me. We floated up, above the doctors and my body. As I watched them work on me, I could hear them talking. I don't know who or what was sitting there with me beside the clock at the top of the wall, but it was like someone who I had known all my life. I was in a state of complete contentment. Ever since that day I always knew there was more to life than just this one. The second experience happened when I was driving home from a bar. At the time, I was unaware that I had diabetes. I hadn't been drinking that much. My friend was resting his head on the window seat, on the passenger side. My blood sugar dropped down to 21. I passed out under the wheel. I went off the road, hitting an electricity pole. This caused the car to flip. I was thrown through the windshield and into a cemetery. I came back to consciousness right at a time when I saw a vision of my headstone and heard a voice from heaven that just said "number 9". That was the day I stopped drinking period. I have lived thru 11 surgeries and 11 auto accidents. I wasn't the driver in all of them. I have also had two battles with cancer - And I am still here.
