Experience Description I was having a simple operation under general anesthesia, rendering me unconscious. All of a sudden, I was watching them shock my heart and could hear them talking. The next thing I knew, I was speeding down a tunnel. There was a light, far in the distance. At one point, I stopped and hovered there. I remember thinking, 'Oh my God, I'm dying! Please don't let me die here in Germany. It will kill my mom to lose me.' I remembered being zipped into a long hallway with doors on both sides. A voice told me to open one of the doors, so I did. I walked in the door. There were three men in black with no faces. They made me watch a screen that had the bad things I had done to others in my life. I was shown the all my hurtful actions towards others. Then, I was flying through the universe and just popped back in my body. I opened my eyes and there were about 10 doctors standing above me. I ended up in the hospital for over a week, so I had a lot of time to think about what had happened. The really weird thing, is when I got back home. I had a popular book from the United States that my mom had sent. It was called 'Life after Life' by Raymond Moody. She had written a note saying, 'I just read this book. I think you will find it fascinating.' I hadn't told her about my NDE until weeks later when I had time to digest what had happened.
