Experience Description

I felt ill while driving. I called medics and was admitted to the hospital. Later that evening, I sat down and was unable to get up. Then I began to act irrationally. Next, I became aware of a wall passing by with pictures on it. I realized that I was on a gurney; however, I also realized I was not in my body. I was hovering over it. I felt a lightness I'd never felt before. I also felt relief from all life's problems and responsibilities. I was happy that I had finished all my will documents. Everything had worked out well. I had never felt so at peace. I thought I might have had a stroke or that I might die soon, but it did not trouble me.

Next, I saw myself being slid off the gurney and onto a cat scan table. The people sliding me paid no attention to me. They did not know I could see them. I think they talked with one another briefly.

Then, I was sitting up on my hospital bed. A nurse was to my right, and using her arms a lot. She spoke to me, although her language made no sense. There were a number of people at the foot of my bed staring at me. They were shrouded in black, although one figure in front had a visible face. She had black hair and round, black glasses. All the people looked so concerned and well-meaning. The nurse continued to gesture to me and seemed to want me to answer questions. I tried to speak to her, but my language was nonsensical like hers. It was very amusing. I quickly gave up trying to speak to her.

Later, I was still on the bed. I saw myself slip into my body from the back and heard a loud swish sound. A nurse was there, and I told her I felt fine.
