Experience Description

I had been admitted to hospital more than several times suffering complications of the stomach. I had been going in and out of the operating room more than several times and waking up with drips all over me.

My mother and maybe it was my aunt, were with me outside the operating room or some corridor of the hospital. I remember I was seated in a wheel chair dressed in hospital garments. All of a sudden, I felt pain. I was rushed back into the operating room and placed on a table. I remember all kinds of hospital instruments been stuck inside me by the doctors, nurses and surgeons working on me immediately.

Being a young child, I was physically in pain by the jabbing of sharp hospital instruments. I remember looking at the operating light above me and looking into it. At the moment of time and instant, I could see what seemed like colorful jellyfish-like beings. They were a living form radiating imminent light. Beautiful. There were hundreds, maybe thousands, or even millions.

At the same time, I could still see the doctors, nurses and surgeons working on me desperately doing what they had to do.

These beautiful colorful radiant jellyfish like beings felt like to me they were waiting for me to take me. They were rainbow colored but could change colors of the light that radiated off them. It's indescribable. I have never seen them in this world.

Now all I remember from then is waking up with drips and tubes inside.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness Ruptured Appendix Other I'm not sure. I was too young at the time. Ruptured appendix.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Mixed

Did you feel separated from your body? Uncertain I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Less consciousness and alertness than normal I was fully alert.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I was fully alert.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere? Yes, and the facts have been checked out

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Uncertain When I think back, maybe I did, I'm not sure. Looking up into the round operating table light kind of makes me think that while I was been operated on, I know I was looking at some type of living form of colorful jellyfish-like beings and their surrounding was enclosed with a glowing white light which was radiant and emitting.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Uncertain I say the glowing white light which was radiant and emitting would have been the light.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? No

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I was very young at the time so all I can say is I don't remember how I felt at the time of my experience.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did scenes from your past come back to you? My past flashed before me, out of my control

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I Couldn't explain it and it was hard to comprehend.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Twenty years later. A friend of mine experienced exactly what I experienced. He lost a lot of blood.
