Experience Description

I was six years old and was very ill with scarlet fever. We lived in the country, in the woods. My bedroom had a window, so that I could see outside. It also had bare, wooden floors. I had been in bed and ill for several days. It was approximately midnight when I had an experience.

I woke up to a soft sound of rustling and I smelled a delicate, indescribable scent. I could see the moon shining in my room. There was a warm, comforting yellow glow and a beautiful woman by my bed. She did not speak, but smiled at me. She had blond hair and incredible blue eyes; her gown was long, flowing and sparkled as she moved. It was made of a beautiful, semi-transparent blue material that I had never seen before or since. I looked into her eyes and felt the most incredible feeling of love. It was if her love was wrapped around me. She held a small, metal tray. I heard her say telepathically, 'Take this and you will feel better.' I reached up and touched the cold tray. The second I felt the tray, the beautiful woman vanished, leaving behind in my dark room with the moon shining through the windows. I begged her to come back.

In the morning my fever had broken. This was such an overwhelming experience and I have never forgotten it. I wonder to this day if she was my guardian angel.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? Right away, as soon as I saw her

Were your thoughts speeded up? Faster than usual

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual. I seem to remember that it all happened within a few minutes.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. My vision was sharper and clearer. I wore glasses then and did not need them to see what was happening.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life. When she vanished, I became aware of my surroundings as if nothing had changed. I wanted her to come back. I never felt such love and acceptance before, not even from my own family

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes I have become more tolerant of others. I do not worry over the small things and am grateful for each day.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin. A incredibly beautiful woman who looked nothing like anyone I have ever seen then or now. She remains in my memory.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I could not fully describe the immense feeling or what I saw. Mere words were not enough.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes. I am more at peace and acceptance of life as it has been given to me.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes 60 years. I told my adult children. They believed me and accepted what I told them.
