Experience Description

I was in second grade at the time. As children played in our classroom, we formed a circle and started doing circular movements. As we moved in the circular orbit, either my hand or the hand holding mine let loose and I hit my head on the wall of the classroom. The next thing I knew, I had my experience.

I saw myself floating over my body in some whining noise. As I hung over my body I could see all my classmates clattering and chatting in a noisy manner. At the classroom entrance, children and other people came and went. As people came closer to my body, my floating image went back and forth and I could clearly see my body lying on the ground with my hands holding my head. The noise I hear in the classroom was clear. It did not take long. When the floating image of myself touched my body again, I woke from the ground shouting for my mother. I ran straight to my house and my mother.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? No Accident BROKE FROM A CHAIN OF HOLDING HANDS BY CLASSMATES IN A CIRCULAR MOVEMENT AND HIT MY HEAD AGAINST A CLASSROOM WALL. HIT MY HEAD VIOLENTLY AGAINST A WALL

How do you consider the content of your experience? Mixed

The experience included: Out of body experience

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes As my body lay on the ground, my hands clasped around my head. An image of myself floated over my body with a whining sound, moving back and forth.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I saw and heard everybody coming in and out of the classroom. It my floating image that was doing the seeing and hearing.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? No

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. No unusual sound apart from hearing my classmates shouting and enjoying themselves.

What was your religion prior to your experience? Moderate METHODIST

What is your religion now? Moderate METHODIST

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes This experience really confirmed the fact of the soul leaving the body after death. Later in life, I came to appreciate the fact also that the soul remains on Earth for some time before finally moving away to some unknown destination I am yet to comprehend.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I can't even describe it.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes My uncles and brother. They were dumbfounded, but could not comment or ask any further questions. My brother, however, wanted to know whether I saw my own body lying on the ground. I responded in the affirmative.
