Experience Description

My experience happened after the incident. The incident was a serious car crash when my small car was in a head on collision with a delivery truck. We were both driving at forty miles per hour. Later on I was getting ready for work. I looked at my clock and the time was 4:44 AM.

Suddenly I was in a room filled with a light that I can only describe as ‘all light’. The light felt as if it had a sentience and there were no shadows. The light also has the most powerful feeling of joy in a way I cannot explain. I felt a presence in The light. I asked the light if I was dead, and remember that I was not sad when I asked. A voice, which was not audible but which I felt, told me that I had many more years left on the earth. I remember feeling intense despair when I asked the light if I had to go back. I have a wife and two small children and I would later have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that despite this I did not want to come back. I then sensed the light smiling. I suddenly and violently woke up and was seated in my car looked at the deflated airbag and glass everywhere. I had a hard time waking up.

When I got out of my car, I woke up and looked at my clock and the time was 4:59 AM yet only seemed like I was out for seconds. I later saw a therapist for this, a therapist who is very spiritual and believes in near death experiences. She informed me that the numbers 444 have the very powerful meaning of angels protecting us.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal Just a tremendous feeling of joy that I have never experienced before.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? The whole time I was in the ‘all light.’

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Joy in the light. Despair when I had to return.

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? Yes When I was "told" I had many more years left on the earth the feeling I got and felt was that I still had a purpose but was not told what that purpose was
