Experience Description

I woke up from my bed in the middle of the night from a bad headache. I was walking to the window to get some fresh air. I started to see more and more black spots. Then I collapsed as I passed out as everything went black.

I knew that I was dead. I felt no pain and I felt enormous freedom as I left my body. There was an enormous emptiness and silence that I had never heard before. I felt extremely strong feelings that I have never felt before. I did not want to go back to my body because in my body there was pain. I heard a voice that said, 'It is not your time now.' It was like I have heard that voice before.

Then I started to hear my heartbeat. It was loud, almost like I was inside my heart. I knew I was going back to my body and then I started to feel extreme pain coming from the back of my head. Then I was back in my body, I stood up slowly, and went back to my bed.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function). Yes, I could feel that I was dead as I could not feel or hear my heartbeat.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes. I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. It was totally different, like being in another dimension. It felt like I could do anything, mostly because there was no time.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? As soon as I left my body, I was instantly at my highest level of consciousness.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. I am sure that there was no time in this dimension as time was not necessary

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I had better vision and could see clearer, deeper, and stronger

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes I think there was a kind of blue light, almost like the same color as our sky

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. It felt like another dimension. I am 100% sure in this realm there was no time.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt a sense of immortality and freedom. I did not wanna leave.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify. I heard a man's voice calmly say, ' It is not your time now." It felt like I have heard this voice before.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? Uncertain. I could feel the presence of the voice, but I could not see him.

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? No

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Uncertain I felt that I was at the beginning, in a new dimension.

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Uncertain I could feel that the voice was in the same dimension as me.

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes Death is something natural only because there is time.

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? No

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists. I know that death is only the beginning. After this experience, I will never be afraid of death again. Nobody should be afraid of death.

Did you gain information about how to live our lives? No

During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? No

During your experience, did you gain information about love? Yes I got a feeling that I was supposed to be in this other dimension and that this life was more real than the life on earth

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life. I do not fear death anymore; nobody should fear death. We are all suppose to be here and live our life on earth but we are all also supposed to die. Death is something that is natural and is when we die and go to the place we were before we were born.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes The feelings was so extremely strong, it's hard to translate them to words.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I will never forget this experience because it is the strongest feelings I have ever felt in my life.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I think different now about some things.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Yes, we only exist because there is time and space.
