Experience Description

I was 8yrs old and my mother had taken me to the local pool for a swim. She was sun bathing and talking to her friend. I could not swim so I was only allowed in the shallow end of the pool. I got out of the pool and walked towards my mother, which was at the deep end of the pool. I was looking down into the water. Some other kids were running around the pool chasing each other, when one of the kids pushed me in the pool while my back was to them. I struggled to call for my mother and tried to grab the edge, to no avail. I don't know how long I was dead. From what I was told, someone dove in as I was at the bottom of the pool. When I think about it, I can still feel the panic and the water I was sucking in.

I remember floating above my body and looking down on everyone; all the other kids, my mother, her friend, and the paramedics. I saw my mother and her friend. They were crying and talking. I couldn't make out what they were saying. I could see the paramedics doing CPR. One EMT was doing the breaths and the other was pushing on my chest. I could see and feel the yellowish, golden light around me. I started floating up towards the light but was still looking down at myself during this time. I turned around and continued to head towards a bright white light. Then I heard a voice say, 'It's not your time.' Before I could say anything, I was back in my body instantly and took a gasp of air.

I was in a coma for 10 days. I should be brain dead, but woke-up to see my mother and step-dad. I told my mother that I could see she was upset. She asked me how. I told her and she shrugged it off like 'don't be silly'. I even told her where she was kneeling and where everybody around her was in relation to my body. We never spoke about what happened. I listen to NDEs and many hear those words, 'It's not your time.' It proves of the afterlife and I'm not crazy.
