Experience Description

I recalled being in a dream state while under. I was under anesthesia from 9:30pm Friday to 10am Monday. I recall being on a large promontory in the dark. Way out in front of me was a light, not bright and not dim. I then said, 'Hello.' (No answer). 'Hello, anybody out there?' (No answer). I then asked, 'Can anybody tell me the meaning of life?' Then I received this EXACT ANSWER telepathically, 'Man has not even scratched the surface to know what life is all about.'

This answer has changed my life and how I live to this day.

NDE Elements:

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness. Surgery-related Life threatening event, but not clinical death Heart mitral valve ceased to function.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal I would say that during the receipt of this particular answer, I was very conscious and very alert, as if awake.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? Well, while I was under during the experience, I considered myself conscious and alert, during this supposed dream of course.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? No

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes Light was in front of me, bright but hazy.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm I was sort of standing on a large globe by myself in the dark with the hazy light in front of me.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? None, just stable and normal.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Relief or calmness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe Just felt that with the answer to my question I understood the magnanimity of life.

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes Even though I believe more of a cosmos idea of existence, I am still a devout Catholic.

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience The answer to my question, confirms what I had thought but have not ever expressed prior to my experience.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes The cosmos is bigger than I thought and has many different entities within many different dimensions.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify No particular person, just a telepathic receipt of the message

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Uncertain I assume that the answer to my question came from a part of a godly source.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Uncertain I believe that I can heal somewhat through thought and touch.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Per the answer from the entity; my belief in the expansiveness of the cosmos has solidified and expanded.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Yes about a year after my operation. Reactions of others, 'oh, hmmmmmmmmmmm.'

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes I read a book by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross in the 70's during college.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I was there and the experience was very lucid and clear.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? I assume that the answer to my question came from a part of a godly source. I wish others had the same experience so they can believe in the expanded universe and cosmos as I do.
