Experience Description

In 2007, when I was 9 years old, my older sister accidentally hit me between the eyes. At that moment, I fainted.

I felt an incredibly warm sensation. I was in a comfortable sitting position, in a place I can not describe in words. Although short, I watched something like a movie of all the experiences I had gone through in my life. I saw the people and faces of people I knew. I happily watched the moving images while receiving an indescribable feeling of warmth and love. For 30 to 40 minutes I looked back in my life. Then, as if the lights turned off, I came out of the space I was in.

When I opened my eyes, my sister and my mother had worried looks on their faces as they were trying to shake me to wake me up. When I regained consciousness, I felt extreme happiness as if I had gone on a journey to a place no one knew about.

Although it happened 14 years ago, the memories of the experience are still really vivid.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Uncertain Accident Life threatening event, but not clinical death. Although I thought I fainted for a long time, it was not longer than 5 minutes.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I was at the highest level of consciousness throughout the whole experience.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Uncertain. I’m uncertain but I felt the space I was in was wrapped with unknowable light.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. I remember sitting or lying down comfortably in an extremely vast unknown space and surrounded by what seemed like light.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? It was an indescribable feeling of warmth and love. I felt wrapped by a goddess of love. I have not felt this feeling while alive on earth.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Did scenes from your past come back to you? My past flashed before me, out of my control. I just saw happy and sad experiences that were memorable in my life.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? No

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I hardly remember anything else besides the mystical experience.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes. At the age of 15 and 18, I saw a ghost-like form.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes. I spoke about it for the first time before taking this survey. They were surprised. It was this friend whom I told about the experience that introduced me to this website.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. That it was a mystical and warm experience.
