Experience Description

I was 13 years old when I passed. I am an epileptic and I was swimming in a pool. I had a Grand Mal seizure in the pool, drowned, and was clinically dead for a few minutes. I also went into a 4-day coma after that time.

I do remember my Near Death Experience. It was very simple. I remember seeing me lying at the bottom of the pool and I begin to hover or float. My mother was screaming. Someone jumped into the pool and pulled me out. Then it was like a sudden rush of something pushed me back into body and that was it. It was nothing fancy.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Less consciousness and alertness than normal I had a grand mal seizure and drowned in a swimming pool.

What is your religion now? Other or several faiths I have a belief that is somewhat part Diest and part Buddist. I believe where constructed by a creator or god head, that really does not interfer with world of man. After the near death experience I also had a feeling that you would be able to return and the myth of heaven and hell where just that a myth. I do not know. The vessel dies and the spirit is reborn.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I believe at times that I have psychic events that I am unable to control.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? After my near death experience, I started to experience a type of sleep paralysis; otherwise known as old hags disease. This is where a figure, usually dark in nature, comes to you in the middle of the night and stands over you at the end of your bed. I always felt that this figure was trying to communicate with me, but I was too scared or frightened to listen. You will hear whispers and feel a constriction on chest as if someone is pushing on you. I have never figured out if this is truly old hags or not, or if this disease is made up to try and explain something else. I have always been able to sense when others, who are not still alive, are in a room or near you. But, I am totally unable to control it.
