Experience Description

My father and I were in his room when I went into the bathroom. My blood sugar began to drop. I experienced a heavy dizziness.

I was moving at full velocity, like free falling into an endlessly spiraling tunnel. In that fall, all my life's memories began to appear in photos. I saw them one after the other and appearing from the left to right. The photos came along with a very strong 'blowing' sound every time it passed me. Later I exited the tunnel and was lying on the bathroom floor beside my father. He told me that I had fainted.

One year later, I fainted again. During that time, I experienced something that made me feel as if I were in another dimension.

I fainted at a bar although I hadn't drank more than one beer. I was talking with a friend. All of a sudden, everything began to get dark and I told my friend I was about to faint. Then, I began to walk in a city of darkness that was illuminated by weak lights. I floated inside a sphere that was full of rays of energy. There were people who passed by around me. they had shadows covering their faces. It seemed that they could not see me.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? No. I fainted.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Both pleasant AND distressing

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Less consciousness and alertness than normal. I'm not sure.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I think probably never.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Faster than usual

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual. I was in a Tunnel. Everything happened fast. In the energy sphere, everything happened in real time.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? More vivid than usual

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. The sounds were much stronger.

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? No

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes The first faint was a free-fall down a tunnel formed of spirals which was seemingly endless.

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Uncertain I don't remember much.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? Some unfamiliar and strange place In both faints; 1. The tunnel was unknown and supernatural. 2. The sphere of energy was mystical and also supernatural.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Tranquility.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Relief or calmness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Did scenes from your past come back to you? My past flashed before me, out of my control In my first faint I remember seeing images of all my life's memories.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists In the second faint, the sphere of energy, I knew I wasn't in our perceived physical dimension, but another unknown one.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Unknown Lucid dreams, leaving the body, and seeing things before they happened in dreams.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? No

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Uncertain I don't know. My father always told me he had gifts and that I had them. There has been many events in my dreams that unfold in the future just as how I dreamed them. In my lucid dreams I have seen the dead, I run from this and do not feel in peace. I always experience fear when these dreams occur.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Absolutely. The tunnel experience was incredible. After that, I have always thought when one dies it is a grand voyage to what I describe as, the unknown

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Immediately with my father, and he understood.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes My father had a close call with death in a heart attack, he went deep 'further' to the indescribable light where he saw his mother and held his hand out, she only said goodbye and then he returned.
