Experience Description




My childhood friend was on her deathbed many miles from where I prayed. She was dying from Cystic Fibrosis. Her sister just informed me that they had stopped the feeding tube and her heart was stopping. I began to pray to God, Mother Mary and Jesus that her soul would find heaven. I was so worried for her, and her soul.

As I was praying, a vision appeared. I saw one of my friend's green eyes and a tube-like cord protruding from her pupil. This cord was dark black, with beautiful lights under the outer layer and moving all about this cord.

After seeing this from an outer perspective, I was now moved into the inside of this cord-like structure. Now I was in the cord/tunnel, which was typical to what most near death experiences describe. The tunnel was grey in color, and had ridges and ripples. I was drawn to a beautiful white, brilliant light and towards the door. The movement was golden colored. I was very aware that my children were asleep next to me in bed. Yet, I was full of curiosity to reach the light. I thought I would die if I entered this threshold of amazingness.

Then everything went dark, except for a few spiraling stars. I realized my friend had died at 11:32 pm, which was the same time that this vision Occurred. I have never experienced anything at all like this. However, now that this has happened, I am opened up to spirit.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? No. Friend was dying Other I was witnessing death occur not in physical form

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes I was in a place that looked like space. I did not see my body, or my friend. I see her eye, of a glow like energy. After this experience, I see spirit and Angels. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness I was in another space, a place where death and outer body experiences occur.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? The whole time.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? No

Were your senses More vivid than usual? No

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. It was in a closed vision, not with eyes open. I was in prayer.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. Nothing to hear, all visual and emotional.

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? No

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes Yes it was Grey, wet, moving in clockwise rotation towards white light, doorway. Rectangular, just like an opening of a doorway. The tunnel was a living entity. I call it Gods thread of love.

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? An unusually bright light

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes It was a doorway of bright white light, that one is drawn to, like a bug is moved by blue light. There was gold movement inside of the unearthly room.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm A place of space, black, no gravity, stars and peace.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? It was amazing, hard to explain, understand, and I have never heard of an outsider watching someone other than self, die.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? No

Did scenes from your past come back to you? No

Did scenes from the future come to you? No

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life At the time, I was not aware that I had helped a soul cross over to Heaven.

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Catholic

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes I am a bible study leader. I know nothing of the bible, but I do know somehow.

What is your religion now? Christian- Catholic

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes Faith. God is real. Demons are real. God is not a punishing God.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? No

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Yes After this experience, I see Angels.

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Uncertain There is certainly more to life. I see the portal to God.

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? No

Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion:

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes God showed me, this cord is the way he loves us. It is the cord that separates us from him. It is the cord he severed at 'The Fall' at the garden of Eden.

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? No

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists Yes This mechanism was like an umbilical cord, it was of God. It was physical, and it was real.

Did you gain information about how to live our lives? No

During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? No

During your experience, did you gain information about love? No

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life I see Angels. I can channel to Spirit, but have chosen to not.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes. It is incomprehensible to anyone, even myself.

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes It is hard to explain because it was not of the physical dimension. It was in the area that I assume we go when we are at death and the cord is severed.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes Gifts of seeing Angels, Visions and Grace.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I saw God, and I can't tell anyone for fear they will think I am insane. I feel alone, however I embrace it.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes It is hard for me to explain, those close to me have changed, spiritually.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I was so confused, and spoke to Priest. Complete comfort. Saint Catherine of Sienna had similar experience.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real It is hard to live a life on Earth, when you have 100 percent faith. Nothing compares, and everyone else is blind. It is lonely, and sad.
