Experience Description

I was in a tunnel with a light at the end of it, a very bright white light. I had always thought of a dark tunnel, but this one was more similar to what is described in the Kabala. It was a geometrical tunnel of multicolored lights.

Although the Kabala is Jewish, that is not my religion. I now have a sense that nearly anyone can end up in this very nice place. I have no fear of dying after that experience. It was a very nice place.

Since then I've had four more cardiac arrests consisting of; another for thirteen seconds; then one of thirty-nine; and the final two came about twenty minutes apart, and were of duration of twelve and nineteen seconds. No lights, no tunnels on any of these.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Cardiac Arrest. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function or brain function) I was flat line for thirteen seconds. Cardiac Arrest. Arrhythmia.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm Being in the tunnel was certainly very nice.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did scenes from your past come back to you? My past flashed before me, out of my control

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I actually saw them

Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion:

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes Seemed to be much more aware.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Uncertain I'm a bit more mellowed out with other people, I think.

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? No

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes A sixteen year old neighbor boy was killed in an accident, and he came to me in a dream a week or two after the accident, and told me that he was in a 'Very, Very nice place.' I was unable to get much peace of mind until I contacted his parents and informed them of the event. Their grief is still very high.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? It sure makes a person aware that there is a 'Great Hereafter'.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Later by several hours, and they gave me that look as though I'm not quite right in the head.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes Just what I've heard or read.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real Something that will never be forgotten. Just as vivid now, as then.
