Experience Description I lead a generally active and fit lifestyle. It was a typical day with no unusual stress. I arrived at the cabin with my partner and was unloading groceries for a fun weekend. As I took a sip of water, I had a very intense chest pain. I remember grasping my chest and falling. I thought I had died. In that moment, I became tingly and warm. I was transported to another realm that was misty and warm. I was in beautiful valley with mountains in the background. It reminded me of what I would imagine a fairy-garden would look like. The temperature was the most comfortable temperature I've ever felt like being in a warm bath. Each little droplet in the mist was a memory. Aas I looked to notice each one, I noticed a vivid memory of my life. My grandma was sitting on a log and talking to me. I couldn't make out what she was saying. I just remember being very comfortable, safe, and content. Then I remember waking up and seeing people standing over me. I felt fine after a couple of minutes but couldn't quite articulate what I felt in that moment. So I've kept the experience to myself. I have since had multiple doctors visits, which is still ongoing. Not sure if it was a near death experience but it was eye opening. I feel like our brain puts on a pretty good show when in crisis/near-death and has given me some peace; hoping others pass with an experience like I had.
