Since the day I was born, I got sick very easily. I had gone in and out of the hospital several times prior to age five. I was always careful with my health back then, but sometimes I went overboard. One time when I was sick, I went to the hospital with my mom. The doctors thought it was a simple cold and sent us back home. An hour or two later, we returned and I was on the verge of death. I passed out, thinking it was a dream. I don't remember having a body, but I remember there were two kind, warming presences with me, and feeling like they were helping me. Back then, I thought they were angels. I was in the sky, thinking it was nighttime and looking at the stars. After some time, being amazed by the sight, I suddenly appeared in the church I always attended. I was facing the cross of Christ. He told me I was special and important, and then he had the two beings send me back to my body. I got better and was able to go home, but I never told my mom what had happened, since she never seemed interested. She did tell me, though, that while she was waiting to see if I would get better when I was asleep, a male nurse with a rosary around his neck gave her comfort. He told her I was meant for greatness, and I was special (even though he never saw me). They prayed for me, and she never saw him again. Ever since, I developed an interest in what happens to us when we die. I haven't feared death in a long time, since it sounded rather comforting to me since that time. I did cry when close family members died, but, somehow, I knew they would be happy.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I feel more in tune with the universe as it is. I have also been considered as a psychic by a few because of the fact that my tarot cards are normally accurate (but they are very vague to me). I am told I am psychic because I take people to a deeper level and know them very well after just meeting them. However, that may be because I have been into analyzing peoples' behaviors for some time.
Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Two parts are very significant to me. The first one is the space and night sky. What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real Now that I look at it and compare it to other NDEs, I believe it was definitely real.
At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Uncertain I've had a few experiences about death afterward, but I didn't find it as similar to the experience I had. Last summer, I was reckless with my health for the first time in five years. When I was sleeping, I had a dream of a man in his mid-30's, in the house. I couldn't find my necklace, so I went downstairs to see him. After taking a good look, I saw it to be my Great-Great-Grandpa Leo in his younger years. He told me he had to get my attention, so he stole my necklace. I woke up to find my necklace was gone. I searched in the room and the house for it. A little afterwards, I had to go to the hospital because my pneumonia got worse.
Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? There is a probability that it could have been a dream or I was under drugs since I was in the hospital. However, since I was asleep, I wouldn't know if they gave me anything. The memory of the experience has always been in my mind, and I always go back to it, wondering. I saw bright, mystical beings and the cross of Jesus, as well as a heavenly voice, but it didn't entirely coincide with the ideas of a 'white heaven'
Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience? I can't come up with any suggestions at the moment considering how thorough the questionnaire was.
