Experience Description

First the wave smacked me, and then I found myself standing in a blue channel of light.

Background Information:

Date NDE Occurred: 1969

NDE Elements:

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Heart attack. Drowning. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function or brain function) Swimming along the shore, I was taken far out into the ocean. I saw three huge waves approaching. That's when I noticed how far I was from the shore.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? I tested myself; my body was like a hologram. My whole life replayed itself. Then I got to the end of the channel and was greeted by big group of beings (human). I knew them all, but only on that other side. When I came back I realized, I didn't know any of them. I was given a choice to stay or go back. I was shown the place, a very, very beautiful place that will always be there. I chose to come back. I didn't want my family and friends to mourn me. I was conscious of time. Life here is just a speck of time, compare to eternity.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning Time had a different meaning. It’s hard to describe.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes I knew them all when they greeted me. They all wore white clothes. When I came back I knew I didn't know who they were.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes It was close in color to the background of your website.

The experience included: A landscape or city

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm At first it was only people that greeted me in the all-white place. Then I was shown beautiful place with people, animals, and nature. It was all pristine.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt peace and calm. I was light without my material body.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did scenes from the future come to you? Scenes from the world's future To help out people in some future is a very big event.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will I did not want to make anyone sad. I knew there was still something I had to do in life.

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Protestant never concidered my self belonging to religion specialy church

What is your religion now? Unaffiliated- Nothing in particular- Secular unaffiliated I belive there is god and remember as a child - guardian angels.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes I learned to not be afraid and to trust my instincts.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Moderate changes in my life For a while I had ability to see auras around people. I could tell if someone was sick. Walking down the street, I could stop babies from crying. I could levitate objects, but I gave all that back.

I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience Only thing I do not remember clearly, is what ihe event gona be, when I will be needed to help people ( and I recoll wagly it is for people to not be afreight )

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I can still see auras sometimes. The rest of it I gave up.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I think I am more compassionate toward feelings of people in the whole world.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I don't know how people were affected by my experience.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I feel very fortunate to have had this experience. It was like having a peek behind the curtain.
