Experience Description The next day I was moved upstairs to the medical building. There, a team would figure out what kind of cancer I have and how to treat it. I was down 3 liters of blood, and fazing in and out of consciousness. The cancer protein was causing my heart and lungs to have problems functioning properly. It enlarged the right side of my heart, which made me retain water. I also had breathing issues where my lungs felt like they were being squeezed. I was lying in my hospital bed when my eyes closed. I think I lost consciousness because of the lack of circulating blood. Later, I found out that I only had 3 liters of blood in me. The blood I had was contaminated with basically the mud of my bones. The cancer (multiple myeloma) was melting my bones. The left side of my ribs were starting to break. I could feel them breaking. When my eyes closed, it felt like I was instantly somewhere else. I was walking in a fog, wondering where I was at. I looked to the right. Then I looked to the left and saw four figures standing there with a bright, star-like light radiating everywhere. Then I heard my father's voice calling my name in Greek. My father's voice was so clear that I instantly knew it was him. He passed away 10 years ago. When I heard his voice it instantly pushed me back to my room and in my bed. I was crying when I awoke. It felt like time stood still; like I was gone only 5 minutes. I started remembering what happened before I heard my father’s voice. I felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness and positivity. I felt so positive about everything. The one thing I’ll never forget was the bright light that illuminated everything was going through me and making me feel incredible. I remember thinking this is so cool! The light is even going through my toes. It felt like I was engulfed in the light and it was healing me. It felt so amazing, I really didn’t want to come back. I felt so at peace, warm, and positive. I had an incredible feeling of positivity that everything was going to be ok. Then I heard my father say my name and something else that I still can’t remember what it was. Then, I woke up in the hospital bed. A little later, the team of doctors visited me and told me that I have multiple myeloma. They needed to give me 3 liters of water solution to make me pee out the bone mud that was in my blood. They were afraid it might damage my kidneys. The positive feeling that everything was going to be all right was still with me. It was like it recharged my soul. I truly felt and believe that everything will be ok. Later, I found out my wife and my mother were asking the doctors if I was going to make it. They all said that they didn’t know and 'we will see.' I truly felt like I was glowing from the inside. This was such an amazing feeling of joy, gratitude, and positivity. Later that day, the cancer center, lead doctor for the multiple myeloma team came to visit and took a biopsy of my bone narrow and bone in my back. The tests showed that I had 97% of my bones covered with cancer. But I still had this overwhelming feeling that everything was going to be ok, whether I was here in this world or the next. This is just the beginning, there is so much more. On the fourth day I got a transfusion of blood. That started making me feel a lot better, I could get out of bed and walk for a bit. Finally, I was discharged to go home. It was a very hard task going home, learning how to walk with out holding on to things. I needed to build back muscles and stamina to lift my arms. Background Information: Gender: Male Date NDE Occurred: 12/16/23 NDE Elements: At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness Multiple myeloma (Cancer) Life threatening event, but not clinical death I delayed going to the hospital when I was greatly ill. By the time I leased to my wife it almost was too late. I came from home from work and passed out on the couch. My wife started screaming cause my face was wife and sad to say kinda lifeless. I promised her if I didn’t feel better the next day I would go to the hospital (Mass General BRIGHAM) Boston. Of course I was feeling even worse the next day. We decided to make it a fun trip so we packed like we were going for a picnic. 3 more after checking in at the hospital a nurse in the emergency room told me (I’m sorry but you have cancer) my heart fell out of my chest. I didn’t know what to say, they told me I needed to stay and that a Medical Team was going to see me very soon to explain the plan moving forward. How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant Did you feel separated from your body? No I lost awareness of my body How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness I really didn’t notice. It just left that everything was going to be ok. At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? At the time I think I was just overwhelmed with the positive feelings, it felt so amazing, healing. I honestly felt like I was glowing from the inside out. This pure positive energy it was addicting. A lot of things came back to me like things were explained. Like, the best example is, we are like a butterfly we start as a worm (human) the the worm goes in a cocoon state (human death) then it escapes it’s cocoon to be a beautiful butterfly (releasing of the soul from the human cocoon). The human body is a machine that holds the soul till it’s time to be released. Were your thoughts speeded up? Faster than usual Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning When I was sent back to my hospital bed it seemed that I was not gone at all long. A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin Did you see an unearthly light? Yes Over the 4 shadow figures was this star like light. Are bodies and a machine to nourish are soul and get use ready for the next world. We have loved ones waiting for use to take us to the next world to help us adjust and not fear. Yes I learned to enjoy life to it fullest as long as it last. The things we all go crazy about beautiful houses nice cars etc. mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Moderate changes in my life I went into remission from the cancer in 3 months. My vitals went back to normal the cancer is extremely small. I truly feel that I don’t have cancer inside me anymore. The cancer treatment that my cancer doctor recommended worked wonders. Doctors that knew me when I was at the hospital couldn’t believe how I look. Honestly it’s a miracle from my death bed to being and feeling better then I was long before. I haven’t felt so good since I was 18 years old and I’m 51 now. To be honest in my heart I believe that bright light healed me, I felt it healing me. Of course I also believe that the cancer drugs healed me also. It’s just all the doctors are surprised how fast I recovered. From almost dead to remission and heath in 3 months it’s a miracle. After the NDE: Was the experience difficult to express in words? It’s a miracle. Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Yes 2 months after out of the hospital I all started coming back to me. I told some friends that I thought would help them find some closer with lost love ones. I told my mother and I told her about my father being there, she said something weird that I believe. The first couple of days I was in the medical building around the time I had this experience my mother had a dream and my father was saying something to her. My mother and father have been divorced for 30 plus years and he has been dead for 10 years. So it was a shock to her to have a dream about him. She didn’t think much about it until I told her about my experience and how my father sent me back. Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I heard my father voice calling me. I remember being there and saying to myself Waoo this beautiful light is engulfing me all the way to my toes and me looking down to my toes. I felt me glowing I know it weird but it true. What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real I still truly believe in my heart that I was there and seen what I have seen. My wife even told me to draw my experience so I did. Life makes you question yourself the long time goes on, but one thing I can’t question is my health, I’m healthy again. At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? No Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? I think I said everything that comes to mind. Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience?
