Experience Description

I was in Italy for summer vacation with my mother; her parents resided there and so we spent the whole summer with them. My brother, his friend, and a sister-in-law came to Italy to visit too. We decided we would go to Mt. Vesuvius as tourists to visit the volcano. We all went excluding my mother. We had an Italian friend take us in his vehicle. There were four people in all. Everything was fine until we left the site. As we were descending the mountain, the brakes went out on the vehicle. It was chaotic while our guide maneuvered his vehicle so we could stop without too much danger. He got his vehicle under control and stopped at the side of the road. We all exited the vehicle.

I got out of the vehicle and immediately fell out or passed out. As I was falling, I hit my head on a cement barrier and completely passed out. I started floating through a tunnel, no color on either side of me, towards a white bright light. The feeling was immensely beautiful and peaceful. I've never felt anything like it since. As I was floating, I saw myself hovering over my body. My brother and sister-in-law were crying. They thought I died; I had urinated and defecated all over myself, as most people know when that happens you're most likely dead. As I was watching them cry I wanted to tell them 'don't cry, its ok, I'm in a great place'. I wanted to stay there. It didn't last long.

The next thing I know, I was back in my body; I woke up and was completely embarrassed for having poop all over me. My sister-in-law took me to a place where there were trees and cleaned me up the best she could. I never told anybody what happened to me. To this day, I don't know why. When we returned to America, I was a different person. I left an ugly duckling and came back a pretty girl. I do know I have some extra sensory perceptions. I've told this story only to a few people. I go to church regularly. I do believe in life after death!

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes I saw my people crying over my body. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

My inside, what I believe is the Holy Spirit, tell me if something is good or not. It's always right. Sometimes I know who's calling me. They're little things that my friends and I call 'ESPN'.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Many years later. I don't know why I never told anybody, probably thought they wouldn't believe me. No big influence. People say 'wow-w-w'.
