Experience Description

Me and my best friend were visiting some acquaintances. It was a very hot, summer day. Suddenly, I felt dizzy and nauseous.

In the next moment, I found myself above my body. I felt so free and light. I had the inner conviction that I was in the state of real life. It seemed like my life on earth was more like role-playing. I could clearly see my environment there, which is normally, totally impossible for me to do without glasses. The colors were so much more intense and clear than on earth. At the moment when I looked down towards my body, I felt a strong pull. I was being pulled back into my body.

When I opened my eyes I felt like the weight of a huge stone was on top of me. My body seemed to crush me and it seemed much too small for me. It took days before I felt reasonably cozy in my body again.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? No. I fainted.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes. I saw people standing around my body. I could view the whole area. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. I seemed to know everything, but unfortunately I can't remember any of it.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When I was floating above my body, that was the reality. It was much more real than life here.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Faster than usual

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? No

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. There were no boundaries anymore. I don't see things in reduced ways anymore.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Freedom, joy.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe. I know that I knew everything, but now I can't remember it.

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Catholic

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes I don't need a church anymore. I'm in constant contact with God. I'm talking daily with him.

What is your religion now? Christian- Catholic

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. For me, it was clear that during this experience I was in my natural state of being.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? No

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? No

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I actually saw them

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes I had the knowledge but wasn't allowed to retain it.

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? Uncertain I had the knowledge but wasn't allowed to retain it.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists. I had great knowledge, but can't remember it.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes My relationships are now happening on another plane. I have many spiritual relationships now.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I'm more sensitive with energies. I immediately feel whether a person has good or bad intentions. I sometimes see ghosts.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I shared it with my family and dying people.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. Because there it was more real as all this here. We are guests in the body, but we are not the body.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely rea. Same as above.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? No

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? Going out of my body was like waking up. Life down here seems like a dream or a game.
