Experience Description 8664:

I was on my way back to our town, when I started having a seizure. I found myself in a very vast and dark place, but I still could see. I was not aware of my body anymore. I asked a lot of questions, like where am I and how I came here? But there was no answer. Then I realized that there is a void under me as well because I was not standing on anything. I mean the feeling we have on Earth that there is always something under your feet. That feeling was not there. Then I saw a very beautiful light that was shining on me even though it was far away from me. My surroundings and environment were still dark. In a strange way I received this understanding that everything will be all right. Suddenly, I opened my eyes and saw that I was on a hospital bed.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual. It felt like I was there for weeks.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes It was more vast than a tunnel, but it looked like a tunnel. I was in a vast darkness that was infinite.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? An unusually bright light

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes I saw a light that gave me the feeling of security and peace. I felt like I am at the right and good place.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? Some unfamiliar and strange place. I never thought I would be standing while not feeling anything under me.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I was very confused but was not feeling worried at all.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Slight changes in my life. For example: After the experience, I could hear a voice in my head that helped me during my math exam. One time in middle of the night before falling asleep, the voice was whispering and calling my name. This was scaring me and I begged [God] to stop it and it ended.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I do not know how my remembrance of the experience compares to my remembrance of other life events at the time.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes At first my family didn’t believe me, but now their opinion has shifted.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was probably not real. Nobody believed me.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely not real. Because I compared it with other NDE experiences on this site.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Yes One time I got out of my body when I was in a very bad situation. I could see my body from 360 degree, but still could not recognize it.


Experience Description 8558:

My family and I were travelling to my hometown. It was a car trip in the middle of summer with no air-conditioning. I started to feel sleepy, so I laid my head on my aunt's lap. My parents noticed that I had an absence seizure and had stopped breathing.

I don't remember if I was looking at my own body. But I do remember being in a cave-like place. It was so dark. I thought it was odd that I was standing on nothing. I asked so many questions but no one answered. I remember wondering if it was a prison or something. I was so confused. Then, I saw a bright light at the end of this place. The light was very pleasant and I stopped worrying about where I was or what was going to happen.

Then I was jolted back into my body. I was in the hospital and seeing the faces of my freaked-out parents. A few months later, I began hearing sounds echoing in my mind. I don't know who it was but it was helping me in my math problems at school. The sounds didn't allow me to sleep at night. I was so scared and no one ever believed me. I begged the voice to stop talking and it did. Now I regret that, but now it's too late.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Moderate changes in my life. I didn't know I actually went to another dimension. Just because my parents told me that my experience wasn't real, I didn't take it seriously. But now that I've read hundreds of NDEs, I wish I had.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Uncertain I was nine years old. I told my parents about my experience but they said I had a vivid imagination

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I used to hear a whispering Male voice in my head helping me in math at school and scaring me to death.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? The light had such a great communication with me and made me so cheered up that I felt like a grown-up understanding something great.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes my family. They didn't believe me back then. But now they say it's not impossible.
