Experience Description I was found unresponsive at my apartment 2 days after my 44th birthday. My sister stopped by on my birthday and dropped off my favorite blueberry pie. She said I didn't look well. She called the next day to check on me and when I wasn't returning her calls, she called the property manager to do a wellness check on me. What they found wasn't good. The property manager found me on the floor. I was unresponsive with my head ballooned up like an alien. It was December 14th when I arrived by ambulance at the hospital. I woke up on December 22nd, after spending 8 days in a coma. The reason I was in a coma was because I had bacterial mengenitis, encephalitis, septic shock, MOF, hydrocephalus and other ailments. I had a shunt put in and was on life support when I had a stroke. I apparently died 4 times during this ordeal. I went on to spend a total of 3 weeks and a few days in rehabilitation, where they were able to get me walking and talking again. After that, I was sent to another rehab hospital before being released. In total I spent 2 months and 2 days in hospitals. After being released at a subsequent appointment with the neurosurgeon a month or so later, I thanked him for saving my life. He chuckled and said thank you but make no mistake about it, something much greater wants you here because there is no medical explanation as to how you're still alive. Yet, here you are doing great! All I can say is I never once thought about consciousness before my death. Now it's all I think about and how it affects life. Background Information: Gender: Male Date NDE Occurred: 12/14/2018 NDE Elements: At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness CPR given Direct head injury. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function) Explained below. How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant Did you feel separated from your body? No. I lost awareness of my body How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. I was aware of everything and could see in 360 degrees but I also had other senses that I can't explain. At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When my cousin from Maine visited me in ICU. She is a physician assistant and was asking doctors questions. Were your thoughts speeded up? No Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. Time is a man made construct and I was clearly shown that. This is why this life is not true reality. Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. My vision was slightly more blurry but clear at the same time. Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I could sense sound but it was more telepathically than actual hearing. Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere? No Did you pass into or through a tunnel? No Did you see any beings in your experience? No Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes I can see that family and friends are all visiting and my thoughts were how nice for everyone to come see me. Many came to visit, but I was in ICU so only 2 at a time can come in. Thing is I could see through walls like a 4th dimensional being would. It was wild! Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin Did you see an unearthly light? No Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm My consciousness could just interact with anything and everything all at once. It could understand everything which left me with strong and visceral feelings about this current state of life. What emotions did you feel during the experience? Calmness, peacefulness, appreciation, gratitude Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe. There is only one consciousness. Did scenes from your past come back to you? No Did scenes from the future come to you? No Did you come to a border or point of no return? No God, Spiritual and Religion: What was your religion prior to your experience? Unaffiliated- Atheist I was very much in the camp that believed when you're dead, you're dead. Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes I believe in the philosophy of Mysticism. What is your religion now? Do not know. I believe in the creator and mysticism. Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I believed whole-heartedly that when you die you're done. Now I know that is so very wrong. Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes As someone that was very much a math and science person I woke up a philosopher. The way that I look at life now is a complete 180 degree change from my previous outlook. Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? No Did you see deceased or religious spirits? No Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Yes Extremely visceral feelings of how to truly make humanity better. No more lies so that we can encounter true reality on the other side. During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Yes There truly is one consciousness. During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Yes. Instead of God I was made aware of the creator. Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion: During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes We are here to nurture not destroy. During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? Yes Learn, listen, grow. During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? Yes You are shown everything all at once, instantly and understand that peace awaits. Did you gain information about how to live our lives? No During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? Yes Because we lie all the time and are lied to from the moment we're born. You were born on a day that had a time, when in true reality you weren't. During your experience, did you gain information about love? No What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life. I had to die so that I could know how to live. Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? I would say that the truth is spoken at all costs in our household and in turn our reality is clearer. After the NDE: Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes. I could sense and see things from inside out. It almost felt if I was seeing upside down and inverted at the same time. But despite the difference in reality it was very calming. How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. It's as if I fell asleep in one story and woke up in another. Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Uncertain I feel as though at times I can remote view. When I'm sitting in my recliner and meditating I see things basically in my forehead. Another thing that I find strange is I no longer have dreams while sleeping. I used to remember them all the time. It's been over 5 years now and nothing. Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I was shown that consciousness is forever and time has no meaning in true reality. We are trained from birth to depend on time, money and what our rulers tell us. It's called control. I don't need any of them. Have you ever shared this experience with others? No Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes I would watch documentaries or shows that covered the subject but wasn't a true believer that is for sure. So no, my previous knowledge did not affect me. What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was probably not real. I was in the hospital for some time and getting all sorts of narcotics because I still had a hole in my head. What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. We view the universe in terms of how big it is and use math and science to make sense of it. We should be thinking just the opposite and how small something is and you look inwards to find that. At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Yes In the hospital things happened and I saw future happenings. When it happened a trigger was put in place as a recollection. It happened multiple times especially the first year. ne0uvqx_nde
