Experience Description

We were heading to school (and Momma to work) one icy, winter day. Momma was driving; we were half-way between home and school. We lived in a very rural area. As we approached a bend in the road, Momma hit a patch of ice and our huge 'land-yacht' of a car went spinning. It all happened so fast, yet in slow motion, if that makes sense. I raised my head, and the next thing I saw, we were headed for a huge old oak tree. Somehow, I knew we were going to hit it head on. Cars at that time had a 'shelf,' if you will, where we laid our books. As the schoolbooks flew from behind our heads, I threw my arm over my baby brother's chest, trying to save him.

The next thing I saw was me, looking down over us all. I was floating over the whole scene. I silently yelled out to God, 'please save us!' Our huge car had wedged itself between a huge, old, concrete cattle trough, and the huge oak tree. Our car came to a stop, and I was once again in my body.

Everyone was okay, and Momma was able to back out of the ditch, we headed on to school and work, and acted as if nothing ever happened. She went on to work; we went on to school, and never spoke of it again. But I will NEVER forget floating above my body, the peace I felt, or the sense I needed to protect my brother sitting next to me. Interestingly enough, Momma found a fence nail on the hood of her car, when she went to break for lunch, it landed there after the wreck.

I attribute it to God, as I do believe in Him and Jesus, and I truly believe He saved our lives that day! No one understands how we didn't wrap that car around the tree, or hit that concrete cattle trough. We somehow wedged between the two. The car and we came out unscathed. I've never told anyone about this, until now. I have had many experiences from a young age, all throughout my life, and still do. I truly believe we are all intuitive, some more than others. I believe we have guardian angels that protect us, and there is more to this world beyond our Earthly life. I have witnessed too much to not believe. Thank you for reading my story.

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes I was totally aware that a bad wreck was happening, but somehow knew we would all be okay, and that my prayers would be answered. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? Right after we skidded off the road: I was totally there in the moment, I knew what was happening, but I was at peace. I felt all aware and all knowing!

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I just know now, that I am 51 that a 12-13 year old girl cannot make up this stuff. I KNOW what I experienced, it was REAL, and one I won't deny any more.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I think I told my now-deceased dear friend, and oldest brother, we could connect on a higher level than most, he was psychic, too!
