Experience Description

I saw from above that the surgeon was operating on me. I saw everything in detail that he did. I saw my father who had been deceased for 2-1/2 years. He told me that my time had not yet come and that my mother and sister still needed me.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Accident. Surgery-related. While under general anesthesia. Direct head injury. Life threatening event, but not clinical death. A coma after a road accident.

Did you feel separated from your body? No See Description I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness I was in the coma but I understood everything that was happening around me.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes I was walking naked, but I didn't feel cold. At the end of the tunnel a strong light, but not blinding, it was there that I saw my father. He told me that I had to go back down again because my mother and sister need me.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? Some unfamiliar and strange place A tunnel where I was naked, but I wasn't cold.
