Experience Description

I left my body completely. I rose above it to the point where my thorax was just above my head. I do not know where my legs and feet were. I was able to look down through my head and into the inside of my body. I saw nothing there but blood dripping from the inside of my empty rib cage. I could see the inside of the soles of my feet. There was a bright light above and behind me. I went back into my body and the light went away.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Rupture of aneurysm in abdominal aorta 'Life threatening event, but not clinical death' I was bleeding to death from the ruptured aneurysm.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real When the incident happened, I quickly realized that it was time to fight to get back to life. My ability to concentrate and focus saved me. I had been a translator for twenty years. I know how to concentrate.
