It was a Friday and I stayed home from work, feeling like I had the flu. I went to the doctor and he did some tests. He said that I may have the flu and he would call me Monday. I went home to rest and went to bed. At one point, I awoke, tried to stand up and passed out. When I stood up, I could feel the blood drain from my head. I passed out a few more times before I reached the end of my bed. After I passed out at the end of my bed, I floated out of my body, up and over my body somewhere near the ceiling. It was light in my room and as I was floating, I notice my arms were outstretched and I recall thinking I could feel the oxygen flowing through my body. I thought 'how cool, I don't have to breath, the air goes right through me'. I also noticed the temperature. It was like summer time, those rare nights when the outside temperature is exactly the same as your body temperature. I was not worried. I looked down at my body lying on the floor, and I thought or said 'If you don't get up now, you aren't getting up'. The next thing I knew it got dark and I was standing in my hallway pounding on my roommate's bedroom door. Then I woke up with the Fire Department with me. I was in a plastic bag type thing that was up to my shoulders, and they were filling it with air (I think to push the blood back to my head) and the fireman was talking into a radio. He was saying 'he has no pulse or blood pressure'. I woke up a week or so later packed in ice and receiving the Last Rites from a priest. I passed back out and woke up a few days later and slowly recovered.
