Experience Description

I was 22 years old. I arrived at the emergency care hospital, was quickly rushed into the room on a gurney, and a few minutes later I flatlined.

I recall my soul levitating from my body and looking down at several people who were preparing a machine.

I vividly remember slowly drifting upwards. Then everything was suddenly dark. I was in space when I lifted my arms and noticed that I no longer had arms. There was an electric energy instead. I did not panic; in fact, I was serene and felt very good. I no longer felt human awareness; as if the memories of being alive did not resonate in my current state of existence. I recall the sensation as if I were returning home after a being gone a long time. I was ecstatic that I was returning to where I considered home.

The surrounding energy took on the form of "me." It was blue, the color of lightning bolts. It felt like I travelled an eternity, but in reality it was a couple minutes at most. I journeyed the cosmos until reaching a large sphere, the same bluish color of my energy body. As I was about to enter the sphere, I was suddenly sucked out like a vacuum and back toward my physical body. I was fiercely swinging, trying not to return.

I found myself handcuffed to the hospital bed so I would not harm myself or others. I remember the aches and pain immediately after I was resuscitated and brought back to life. My chest had two imprints from where the resuscitation machine was used on me.

The first thing I noticed after my experience was that I remembered my childhood memories. This was something that I could not remember due to mental and physical abuse. I believe my mind blocked my childhood memories to protect me. Now, I remember everything to the smallest details of my childhood years.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? No. Drug or medication overdose. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function)

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. I was aware of everything that was happening around me. I could feel everything

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? After I was out of my body and hovering above it. I had no recognition of human emotions. They did not resonate in my current state. I obviously understood that I was this person lying on the hospital gurney. But I felt no emotional attachment to my prior state of existence.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual. It felt as if I had travelled for an eternity, but in reality it was only a couple minutes

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. My vision was everything and everywhere

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I don't recall hearing anything, but telepathy is a more accurate description, because I could feel or see through my mind

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere? No

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Uncertain I recall I was hovering over my body. Suddenly, I was in total darkness as if flying through space, except it was as if time had slowed down

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes My body had become this electric light the color of a light blue or of lightning

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. A large sphere like a planet made of the same color that my body was now made of

What emotions did you feel during the experience? None

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Incredible joy

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe. I just knew everything. I understood the dynamics of the universe

Did scenes from your past come back to you? No

Did scenes from the future come to you? No

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will. As I entered this large sphere, I was suddenly vacuumed back into my body

God, Spiritual and Religion:

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Protestant. I was raised as a catholic introduced to me by my mother and completed the said requirements from that organization such as holy communion and the holy confirmation.

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes I understand we are all one and that this life doesn't mean or hold any real importance

What is your religion now? Other or several faiths. I believe that God has many names in accordance to the region and the cultural background. But essentially, he is the same. There is only one that we can return to and that is my religious choice although I do believe in Jesus Christ as God in the human form; and not the Son of God as it has been taught to us.

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I understood there is no punishment by God. He doesn't judge us we judge ourselves

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes Not till a long time later one day with no warning i felt a calming warmth envelope me and I felt so much peace and so much love that I have never ever felt before the love that I yearned for as a child. It is by far the most wonderful feeling I have ever felt in my entire life and I felt something spiritual I knew instantly that god's spirit had touched my soul that day I was immediately transformed into a different person in time physically but spiritually immediately explained what happened to me is nothing short of a miracle he reached out to give me the gift of love and he opened my eyes spiritually My experiences while growing up in a broken family and never receiving emotional support or love and also the bad decisions I made as an adult. We're like jigsaws pieces and I now seen the complete picture of my life giving me a sense of peace and understanding of why things have to take place I am no different than before except the hatred and suffering are gone no longer getting upset like before I take things in stride and I still have everyday problems like anyone else just that my approach to resolving them is different and I help as much as I can to whoever I come across and I observe they can use some help unconditionally

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Uncertain Not during the experience but much later I experienced a spiritual awakening and it placed a lot of my doubts that I always contemplated into a clear perspective like a jigsaw puzzle I could see all the pieces together in a great image and it brought with it much understanding and clarity

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? No

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? No

During your experience, did you gain information about love? Uncertain Not until 30 years later was I blessed with the awakening of my soul liberating my conscience when I felt our creators spirit caress my soul and helped me to understand that the only truth is love

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? No changes in my life. To be honest I continued living a reckless type of lifestyle involved in crime and gang violence. It did not really change anything at the time until years later, when I felt the significance of what had transpired

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes I am more considerate and recognize my partners feelings and emotional needs

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I can only describe it as I knew everything that was and where I was going I understood things as the truth and had no doubts that what I believed was wasn't true

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I recall with great detail as my body hovered over me. I saw the nurse prepping a shock machine and the bustling in that room. I levitated to the outside of the room and saw my brother and sister outside worrying about me.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I can sense the energy of friends or family members after they pass away and have actually been visited either in dreams or awake before they finally leave as if to say goodbye

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Just the part that I understood I was going home

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes 27 years later

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. I understood it happened but didn't share it with anyone afraid of being ridiculed

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. I have overcome many difficult times in my life. I spiraled downward, strung out on meth and sleeping in abandoned homes. I was ashamed for a long time. The guilt consumed me for not being able to be there for my daughters. I was a very violent person and always blamed my mother. After I experienced what I call a spiritual awakening, all of those painful things I carried with me for years were instantly gone. I felt God's love, as if telling me that I had suffered enough and could be empowered with this new knowledge of our origin and our purpose here

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? No

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? We are here to help others not ourselves. Help others that approach you and ask for your help there is no such thing as coincidence.
