Experience Description

As a child I had a terrible longing to see a group of loving beings I called the 'white' people. All I remember is that I once visited them in a place that seemed to have no boundaries. They were an ethereal group in white gossamer robes with no distinct facial features. The area was illuminated with a white light, yet with no obvious physical lighting.

I distinctly remember there was something delightful there associated with animals, something I could ride on. A rocking horse is the only way my childish mind could describe it, but it was more magnificent and lion-like. I would ask my mom when I could visit them again, but she never understood what I was talking about. I eventually stopped asking, thinking it was a dream; until, as an adult, my mother introduced me to a man she said saved my life.

When I was two, I was strangled by my toddler swing when it tipped upside down while I was still strapped in it. My mother said I turned blue and stopped breathing and she was screaming in panic, not knowing what to do. The neighbor jumped the fence and gave me CPR to revive me. It all made sense after she told me. To this day I can't wear watches without them dying after a while and I still feel intense love when I think about the 'white' people.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes Words do not suffice in explaining the connection and desire to be with these people again. As a child I wanted to be with them more than my own family.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I can't wear watches, the batteries die too quickly and the time always becomes inaccurate.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes About 30 years later with my husband. He was intrigued. I don't think it influenced him greatly.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was probably real It still feels emotional when I think about the beings thus I think there is something to it. The emotions go beyond what you would feel in a dream. Plus, I have hung onto that memory for over 40 years.
