Experience Description I remember being underwater and panicking for a split second. Then, I was extremely calm. It was like time stopped moving. It didn't look like I was in the swimming pool anymore, but I was still underwater. I could see trees and a landscape in the background. There was a lady floating a little higher up than me. I think she was dressed all in white but the light was too bright, I couldn't tell for sure. The light was one, big beam and a couple smaller beams coming out of the sky. I'm not sure if the lady was talking to me or not because I couldn't hear her. Everything was quiet in the beginning. Then it got really loud and I could hear yelling and screaming. I could also hear the water as it sounds like being underwater with swooshing and people swimming and splashing around. I snapped out of it and looked up. My cousin swam over me and some how I grabbed her waste and she pulled me out of the pool. I don't think I had to go to the hospital. I do remember coughing up some water. I'm not sure if this was a near death experience, but I have never had much of an imagination. It's hard for me to daydream or even see pictures of things in my head, so I don't think I made it up. I had a couple other close calls with death from drug overdoses and it was nothing like that. It was more of when you dream and have a somewhat vivid nightmare. Then it would cut in and out from that to black nothingness. Yes Besides the fact it's hard to put my thoughts into words and that it was forever ago. It's because it was unreal maybe. I'm not sure How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?
