Experience Description

I remember being underwater and panicking for a split second. Then, I was extremely calm. It was like time stopped moving. It didn't look like I was in the swimming pool anymore, but I was still underwater.

I could see trees and a landscape in the background. There was a lady floating a little higher up than me. I think she was dressed all in white but the light was too bright, I couldn't tell for sure. The light was one, big beam and a couple smaller beams coming out of the sky. I'm not sure if the lady was talking to me or not because I couldn't hear her. Everything was quiet in the beginning. Then it got really loud and I could hear yelling and screaming. I could also hear the water as it sounds like being underwater with swooshing and people swimming and splashing around.

I snapped out of it and looked up. My cousin swam over me and some how I grabbed her waste and she pulled me out of the pool. I don't think I had to go to the hospital. I do remember coughing up some water.

I'm not sure if this was a near death experience, but I have never had much of an imagination. It's hard for me to daydream or even see pictures of things in my head, so I don't think I made it up. I had a couple other close calls with death from drug overdoses and it was nothing like that. It was more of when you dream and have a somewhat vivid nightmare. Then it would cut in and out from that to black nothingness.
