Experience Description

The Cardiologist was trying to move a stent that didn't need to be moved whereby he punctured my heart. I don’t remember much else on earth until I start to wake up in the ICU. The doctors told my family that they would know in twenty-four hours if I live or die.

I do, however, remember what happened when I was out of my body. I saw people dressed in white. I was in a peaceful place and surrounded by green grass with beautiful flowers. To go further, I would need to go through a gate. While I waited, the person at the gate came back and said it was my time go back. But I know if a family member who had passed away and brought me past the gate that I wasn’t coming back.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Surgery-related CPR given. Cardiologist punctured my heart. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function) Had to have emergency surgery.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Normal consciousness and alertness. Everyday I think of what could have been had I gone beyond the gate.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? At the time of the NDE.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? No

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. When I get ready to go to sleep, I always have a vision of that day but I’m not afraid.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. The last thing I remember was being told that I can't wait anymore because we have to go now. I heard better than normally. I had just had a hearing test before my experience and I needed hearing aids.

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? Yes, and the facts have been checked out

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes The tunnel was dark. But the closer I got to the end of the tunnel, the brighter the light got. People have told me never look at the light. Those that say that have never experienced it.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes I saw other people. But didn’t see any of my relatives.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? An unusually bright light

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes The Light was very bright the closer I got to it.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? No

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt peaceful and I wasn't afraid.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Incredible joy

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about myself or others.

Did scenes from your past come back to you? I remembered many past events

Did scenes from the future come to you? Scenes from my personal future. They knew my life I would live.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will. The gate was the boundary I couldn’t cross. But I was told three times while trying to cross it that it was not my time and I had to go back. I didn’t want to come back though. I felt like I belong there.

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Catholic

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? Yes Volunteering and Helping those in need.

What is your religion now? Christian- Catholic Strong catholic

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I already knew that we all will be judged in our life. Believers will join Heaven while non-believers will be cast to Hell. I know were I belong. I was told don’t judge others.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes Closer to God

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify. I couldn’t identify the the person, other than he was a person telling me it’s not my time and to go back.

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I actually saw them

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Yes I don’t know why it’s not my time. Being there I thought it was my time.

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Yes Heaven is real! Jesus is real and people are free to come and go. It was a wonderful place to be and very beautiful different than being on Earth.

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Yes When at the gate he left came back and said its not your time. I know he talked to Jesus. He had the power to bring me across, but I was told I couldn't cross over yet.

Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion:

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes My time that I was sent back was to tell my story. Some people find it remarkable, while others doubt that one could have a NDE and they believe that people who have an NDE couldn't remember what they saw. It’s not my place to judge they’ll find out.

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? Yes I experienced what it was like to be there; fFar different from being here on Earth.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists. I was able to see the afterlife.

Did you gain information about how to live our lives? Yes Not to be afraid. Tell everyone what you experienced and what it is like. My only question I was able to ask was what if they don’t believe the answer. I was told not to judge.

During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? Yes How did I know that a coworker had passed away prior to the phone call. Or Sam’s Grandmother has passed away prior to a phone call. Call it what it is ESP. I never had this kind of information before knowing what events would happen before anyone else.

During your experience, did you gain information about love? Yes They loved me and that’s why I was sent back. It wasn’t my time yet. I have never been so happy to be at a place so wonderful.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life. Enjoy life and take nothing for granted.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes Closer to God

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I remember everything that happened.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I have ESP and can sense spirits.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Happy to have the knowing of what to expect

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes That was my soul purpose to tell about my experience. Some believe and others don’t.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. Everything was real. Heaven is real.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. It was all real.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Yes I can hear voices talking to me.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? I wasn’t afraid at all. I had two experiences. One was a coworker who passed away. My supervisor called my wife and told her Ricky has passed away. I knew that before my wife called me. The second was a friend of my Daughter's. Her grandma has passed away. I knew that before my Daughter called.
