Experience Description

My experience happened when I was age 18, during the third surgery for an intestinal obstruction.

Suddenly, my body was floating on the ceiling and looking down on my body. I saw two doctors and two nurses operating on me while putting my organs in a large basin.

I saw my parents crying outside the operating room, but the situation was not scary at all.

Suddenly, I was flying through a very dark tunnel at a very high speed. But at the end of the last tunnel, I could see it was very light outside. I could hear the sound of hammering through the tunnel.

I couldn't get out of the tunnel until waking up in the hospital room. I was was sutured without completing the surgery because the pulse was about to break.

After that, I am healthy without re-surgery.

The feelings I felt during my death experience were just peaceful, and the memory is still so clear.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes There were three medical staff in the operating room and my parents were crying outside the operating room. A long time later, when I said that I had been treating the diseased area with my large intestine in a large basin, my family agreed. He said that he had witnessed it. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. A feeling of clarity

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When I'm floating in the ceiling and exiting to the tunnel.

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. Floating in the air and instantly moving into the tunnel, flying at a very high speed.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I was lying on the operating table, and in my experience, I was floating in near the ceiling and looking down at myself.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. I don't know the difference in hearing in particular, but when I passed the tunnel, the sound of the hammer hitting the tunnel was very loud. I clearly left my body and existed outside it .

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? No

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes Flying through a very dark tunnel at the speed of light. I heard a loud knock on the tunnel.

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? No

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? An unusually bright light

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes A very bright light was seen at the end of the tunnel. The colors of the light were a yellow, white, and red swirl.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. Tunnel

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Feeling calm

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I thought there was no religion and there was nothing after my death. But after the experience, this is not true.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes I must live better to meet a beautiful afterlife.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? No

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Yes I didn't see it myself, but I felt like something existed

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Moderate changes in my life. I don't have much material desires any more.

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? No

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I vividly remember the experience despite it happening quickly.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? No

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? The whole experience is meaningful

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Family first. Then after 10 years of experience for others, about 10 years ago for others who were curious, but they don't seem to believe me.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. After the experience, the family agreed with me about my experience.
