was standing barefoot in a beautiful mountain meadow, as a four-year-old. Holding my chubby little hand was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. A Greek God times a hundred! He had a glow that radiated love like the sun does light, and I knew I was safe with him. It was the most peaceful loving feeling I have ever known. We started walking along a path through the meadow, hand in hand. I knew that he was taking me somewhere specific, but that the walk was important, too. I was seeing such amazing things. Colors, shapes, smell, everything was so sharp and beautiful. It was like seeing for the first time. My guide enjoyed this walk as much as I did, pointing to new things and laughing at my enjoyment. The only sound he made was laughter, and it was as wonderful as everything else was. It was the rush of a mountain stream, a baby�s first cry. Tinkling chimes and thunder. I will never be able to describe the sound. The glow around my guide faded as a brighter, bigger glow surrounded us, and I heard a voice inside my head. The voice said, "Philip, this is the end of the path that you now walk. Remember that I will always love you."

I finally came to the end and floated into a place which was overwhelmed by a radiant white light that seemed to embody all the concepts of love. A love which was unconditional and like a mother has for a child. It was definitely a warm joyful presence, the same one that drew me into the tunnel in the first place. It seemed like a giant force field or energy that radiated all the good and noble emotions known to man. I knew in my heart that this was God. Words can�t describe my awe in this presence.

I was shocked to see a being of incredible beauty, radiating great love, great compassion and warmth. It was a being of beautiful, bright white light, which had silver threads emanating from the center. I was hesitant to say anything, and then I realized that my thoughts were being read by this incredible being of light. I take my responsibility of raising my children very seriously now. was there with this orb of glowing love and understanding. It didn't seem foreign to me. It was not frightening, it was totally assuring, and there was no feeling of anything but my awe, and the love and knowledge and wisdom that this orb projected. In size it would be not like looking at the sun, but looking at the earth when you are on it. It was immense, and total, and its power was love. But I see the wisdom of Buddha, and Jesus, and Gandhi, and others in their application of love to their life situations.

The overwhelming love and happiness of that place was so inviting. I could feel myself becoming lighter each moment. In a fit of fear and panic I began crying. No, I couldn't be dead. What would happen to my son? He was seven months old! He would never remember me. His father didn't even know how to take care of him. I didn't want him raised by his father's parents. No, no, no...this was not the time to go. So much patience was shown to me - so much love. My guides tried their hardest, they never gave up, they never became discouraged. It is unbelievable the amount of patience and love they exuded.

That when I get back to wherever I�m going, I�m going to take life more serious. In other words, don�t wake up in the morning and see a bird and take that poor little bird for granted. Before, when people would talk to me I would say, �Yeah, okay�� But now when people talk to me, I listen to every word they say. I have more compassion for people. I don�t take things for granted any more. This will sound like I�m contradicting myself. I used to hear what I wanted to hear. But now I listen to everything you say. And I don�t look at a bird as a bird, I look at a bird as a human. But. Everything I see here now is not real any more. Nothing I see is really real. What I saw over there was real. This (life) is like an imitation, because I saw the �real McCoy.� I do take things more seriously and listen more, but I don�t take it for real. It�s not as real as what I saw. But I still listen and watch the waitresses pour my coffee but it�s not real. Every time I pick up a magazine or watch TV, I know it�s material things, but it�s not real.

We are all a part of God, like a cell in our bloodstream). Our connection to each other and our only way to Return to the ONE is Love. It is the Universal Protocol for communication. Without LOVE, we cannot communicate with each other, much less with GOD. I respect everyone's faith and do not believe in proselytizing. We are all inculcated with out belief systems because of an accident of birth. We are given these beliefs by our elders. Beliefs are impossible to change --- even through reason. A person can only change his/her own beliefs because he really believes otherwise and is open to rationality. Most belief systems have nothing to do with rationality. They just are.

I know one thing I need to work on is accepting people for where they are, since I have an uncanny ability now to get directly to the heart of any unresolved emotional issues and try to get them to work on them whether they are ready to or not. But if I feel that if I can help just one person to realize how wonderful and loved they truly are, then my life will be worth it. I am intensely grateful to God for letting me glimpse the afterlife and to know that we are all here on a mission, each and everyone of us. It is as though God's love is coursing through me and I have the ability to give so much love to people--it is wonderful!
